What is Extended CrossLinks?

Extended CrossLinks analyzes data from incoming sessions to assess whether or not they may be connected with other previous sessions, including archived sessions, potentially indicating fraud.

Whereas standard CrossLinks compares against ‘live’ session data (typically 3 months), Extended Crosslinks can also compare against ‘archived’ data, extending back up to 3 years.

The data analyzed by Extended CrossLinks is separated into three categories;

  • Document (available now)

  • Device (coming soon)

  • Face (coming soon)

Why is it useful?

Extended CrossLinks analyzes even more data than standard CrossLinks, uncovering fraud patterns not visible when looking at only recent data.

This enhanced fraud detection capability can help to expose potential multi-accounting, synthetic identities, or fraud rings.

Configurability

Extended CrossLinks is automatically enabled for those with the Fraud Intelligence package enabled. This feature utilizes data from the previous 3 years in total (live plus archived data). If a customer’s retention period is greater than 3 years, the older data will not be utilized.
