Overview
Activity log gives you complete visibility into who did what, and when inside your Veriff Station account. Every meaningful action — from viewing a session to changing integration settings to managing team members — is automatically recorded and available for review, search, filtering, and CSV export
What does Activity log track?
Activity log records 70+ distinct event types across the following categories:
Authentication — logins, SSO authentication, 2FA setup and verification
Session access — session views, PDF exports, bulk session exports
Integration changes — settings changes, secret management, branding updates, country/document configuration
Team management — user invites, role changes, user blocks, team creation and updates
Account management — auth provider changes, subscription events
Fraud tooling — FaceBlock additions, removals, and exports
Webhook operations — webhook resends
Each event captures the following details:
Actor — the user or system that performed the action
Action — a description of what was done
Status — whether the action succeeded or failed
IP Address — the IP address from which the action originated
Timestamp — the exact date and time of the event
Target — the resource affected (e.g., Account, Integration, Session, User)
Target ID — the unique identifier of the affected resource
Country/City — the geographic location of the actor, based on IP
Who can access the Activity log?
Activity log is available to all customers — both Enterprise and Self-Serve — at no additional cost. No setup is required; logging is enabled automatically on all accounts.
Default access:
Activity log is visible to users with the Administrator ("Owner") or Access administrator roles by default.
Custom access (Advanced Permissions):
If your account uses Advanced Permissions, Administratorss can assign Activity log access to custom groups using the permission "Ability to access the Activity log". This allows you to delegate audit access to compliance officers or security team members without giving them full admin rights.
How to access the Activity log
Sign in to your Veriff Station account with an Admin or permitted role.
In the left navigation menu, select Account setup → Activity log.
The Activity log page displays a chronological list of recorded events, with the most recent events shown first.
Searching and filtering
You can narrow down events using the following filters:
Actor — filter by a specific user (by email)
Action — filter by action type
Date range — filter events by a specific time period
To apply filters:
Click the relevant filter field at the top of the Activity log page.
Select or type your filter criteria.
The list updates automatically.
To clear all filters, click Clear all.
Exporting Activity log data
You can export Activity log records as a CSV file for offline analysis or integration with your internal compliance tools.
Apply any filters you need (optional — you can also export the full log).
Click the Export button.
A CSV file will be generated and downloaded to your device.
Note: Exports are also recorded as Activity log events (audit_log_export), so your audit trail includes a record of who exported data and when.
Data retention
Activity log data is retained for 6 months per event.
